I have extensive experience of assessing student skill levels and needs via FSI-derived interviews, needs analyses and counselling. I interview an average of 1,000 - 1,500 students per year and provide assessment reports on their abilities, which also contain recommendations for future training. Additionally, I work as part of the outsourcing team interviewing and assessing candidates for employment within client companies.
I am currently upgrading the quality of client reports and reporting procedures in terms of overall report quality, relevence and timeliness. It is also one of my responsibilities to ensure quality is maintained, procedures are adhered to and training is provided as required.
I am part of a small team managing more than 60 instructors, assessing their performance and future training needs and assisting in related HR functions: interviewing, disciplinary matters and counselling.
For 3 years I acted as part-time financial editor at ABN AMRO, Tokyo. I was responsible for checking and correcting internal and external documentation sourced from the Corporate Banking, Structured Finance, Securities, Treasury, I.T., HRD and General Affairs Departments.
I prepared and delivered business English and ESP programs both at client sites and at the Phoenix Associates Training Centre.

MISCELLANEOUS

I am familiar with computers, internet research and basic web-page construction and I am currently learning the basics of Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and Photoshop 5.5. I have a strong interest in aerospace, photography and writing, and I spent 8 years as a volunteer writer/presenter on a U.K. hospital radio station; latterly as programme controller and instructor. I am self-motivated, flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic with an exemplary sickness and time-keeping record, and I am equally comfortable as a team player or working on my own initiative. Although I am currently domiciled in Japan, I believe my extensive experience will be applicable to any region. Therefore, I am willing to move to a new location in the search for fresh challenges.
